One experiences a building not only as a whole but also through its smaller individual spaces. By focusing on all the finer details that form part of these spaces one creates a layering and depth which enhances the spatial experience.
I place a lot of focus on crafting spaces which complement the overall design, making even the smallest of spaces an experience and an extension of the architectural concept.
Introducing unique architectural features and details makes the building special and by incorporating the clients personal effects and art pieces and paying special attention to the clients themselves, one ensures that the building reflects their unique personalities and style which is an integral part of the design process and ultimately the final building.
“Architecture is really about well-being. I think that people want to feel good in a space… On the one hand it’s about shelter, but it’s also about pleasure.”
